Lexie Thomas and Kevin Hyland met on a rooftop in 2022, and discovered that they’re both guitarists, slightly neurotic, and oddly look alike. A year later, they became neighbors and formed their duo, Le Charme. 

 

Fusing Thomas’ folk-spirited lyricism and Hyland’s affection for electronic rhythms, Le Charme began as a passion project. The two spent many late nights in their Williamsburg apartments jamming, messing around with pedals, and telling funny stories as lyrics. 

 

They each continue to pursue their own ventures — Thomas performs as a singer-songwriter and Hyland as guitarist of The Living Roomers. In Le Charme, they’ve traded their traditional rock band lineups for a drum machine they didn’t know how to use, and a laptop filled with more messages from their exes than songs.



 

Kevin’s got the anthemic riffs, and Lexie’s got the candid vocals. Together, they make catchy tunes that somehow feel like late-night conversations with your best friend.
