My first true reporting gig was for the Columbia Missourian. In June 2020, I was part of an incredible group that reported on the Black Lives Matter protests in Columbia, Missouri. Seeing the community come together over the movement was an impactful experience as a journalist. I also wrote about the reopening of the local concert venue Rose Park during the beginning of the pandemic.
